Parkway Golf Course Parkway Golf Course — home

The Course

Eighteen holes, par 72, cut into the woods and farmland north of Pound. Open front nine, a back nine that climbs and narrows, and water in play on four holes.

The front nine

The opening nine plays generously. Fairways are wide enough to let you swing, the ground is mostly flat and the trouble is visible from the tee. It is a fair place to find your swing before the course starts asking harder questions.

The back nine

The back nine is where Parkway earns its reputation. The land rolls, several tees are elevated, and the corridors tighten between the pines. Water comes into play, greens are smaller targets, and the closing stretch does not give shots back.

Conditions

The course is walkable and carts are available. Practice facilities are on site. Call the pro shop for current conditions before you drive out — this is northern Wisconsin, and spring and autumn can change a round quickly.
